If you run out of things to do at Morning Glory (which we doubt!) you can also use the Resort as a base from which to explore the many and varied attractions in the area.
You are on the door step of Barmah National Park where you can spend the day exploring, bird watching, canoeing the lake district or Murray River, cruise the ‘narrows’ part of the Murray where birdlife is abundant.

Visit Cape Horn Vineyard and Cellar Door where you can enjoy a range of delicious wood fired pizzas, cheese platters and dip plates along with a fully stocked bar. But of course, you must taste their wines which will undoubtedly surprise you with their full flavours in both white and red varieties. Live music is a feature on weekends during the warmer months and a courtesy transfer service is available from Morning Glory River Resort (subject to minimum numbers – bookings essential).
Alternatively, you can take make your own way by car via the scenic Stewarts Bridge Road drive (30 mins) or by water and enjoy the 14 kilometre downstream cruise downstream (approx 20 mins)
The small township of Mathoura, only 30 minutes’ drive, has a visitor information centre which can guide your fun filled day to explore the Mathoura Heritage Train, a self-guided town tour following the steps of the timber cutting pioneers.
Discover the Cadell Fault, a ridge running from Echuca to Deniliquin (through Mathoura), formed when the land was thrust upwards by earthquakes about 30 thousand years ago. The Mathoura Reed Beds Bird Hide with boardwalk looks out across the wetlands teaming with bird life. The Back Roads trail has signposted interpretive sites along the Cobb Highway allows you to learn how we have lived on and shaped this land from Dreamtime prehistory to the present day.

Deniliquin is worth the 1 hour drive to visit the Peppin Heritage Centre and Art Gallery, the Historical Society Museum, golf course and bowls rinks. The Edwards river passes through the township providing a relaxed and peaceful backdrop for visitors.

Experience Echuca Moama’s many exciting attractions and activities, the perfect place to spend a fun-filled day, or if time allows, an extended visit.
